INVITATION FOR TENDERS
1 The United Republic of Tanzania has received financing from the African Development Bank (AfDB) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) towards the cost of Tanzania Agricultural Inputs Support Project (TAISP), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this funds to cover eligible payments under the contract for Supply and Installation of four (4) Green/screen houses for breeding activities (TARI Ilonga and TARI Selian) with a galvanized GS pipes (poles).
2 The Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute now invites sealed bids from eligible National Suppliers of goods as described here under;
3 Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures as specified in the Bank Procurement Method’s and procedures for procurement of Goods and Works.
4 Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the office of Secretary, Tender Board, Tanzania Agricultural Institute, located at Makutopora Arusha road. from 07:30hours – 15:30hours on Monday to Friday inclusive except on public holidays.
5 A complete set of Bidding Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 4 above and upon payment of : non-refundable fee of one hundred thousand (TZS 100,000/=). The method of payment will be by Government Electronic Payment Gateway (GEPG) payable to Director General, Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute, P.O. Box 1571, DODOMA, TANZANIA.
6 All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in an acceptable format provided in the Bidding Document as follows in Tanzania shillings or freely convertible currencies in case of foreign Tenderers.
7 All Bids in one original plus two (2) copies properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address Secretary of Tender Board, P.O. Box 1571, DODOMA, TANZANIA at or before 10:00hours on Monday 20th May, 2024. Bids must be delivered at the Office of the Secretary of Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute Tender Board located at Makutopora Arusha road. Bids will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Bidder’s representatives who choose to attend the opening at the Conference Room of the Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute, P.O. Box 1571, DODOMA, TANZANIA.
8 Late Bids, Portion of Bids, Electronic Bids, Bids not received, Bids not opened and not read out in public at the bid opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
